The GP out-of-hours service
On weekdays from 6pm, at weekends and on public holidays the out-of-hours service is reachable on 014 22 22 00.
When you call, a staff member assesses with you what is needed. That may be:
- advice over the phone;
- a consultation with the GP on duty;
- a home visit if you cannot travel;
- urgent care if the situation calls for it.

In a life-threatening emergency: loss of consciousness, heavy bleeding, crushing chest pain, signs of paralysis, severe shortness of breath. In doubt? Call the out-of-hours service first on 014 22 22 00: they will put you through immediately if needed.
